The benefits of a Pohl Recreation Center membership includes access to:

Locker Rental

Day use locks are available for checkout at no charge from the Member Services desk. Free lockers are available inside and outside of locker rooms on the first floor and on the second floor near the track. Locker rentals can be purchased throughout the year (depending on availability) at the Member Services desk. Locker renewals can also be done at the Member Services desk. Locker rentals for UNT faculty and staff are available through payroll deduction as well.

Towel Service

Shower towels are available with the purchase of our Towel Service, providing you a clean, fresh towel to use in the shower and pool. Small sweat towels are available to purchase and keep for $1.

Both sweat and shower towels can be purchased and checked out from the Member Services desk. Towel Service is available for UNT faculty and staff through payroll deduction as well.

General Reservation Information

Campus Departments

Requests should be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance of the event.
Completely fill out the facility request form and email it to Courtney.Thomas@unt.edu .

Requests should be made a minimum of 15 business days in advance.
Complete a campus event application through your organization's OrgSync account.

Non-University Affiliated Groups 

Non-university affiliated groups who wish to reserve space must contact Event Planning and Scheduling Services at 940-565-3804.

Reservation Policies

1. For student organizations, the final balance is due no later than two business days prior to an event to avoid cancelation. UNT departments and non-university affiliated groups will be billed after their event.

2. Changes to reservations will not be allowed within 48 hours of the event.

3. Cancelations made less than 48 hours before the event will result in charges being assessed.

4. Reservation no-shows will result in full charges.

5. Users are responsible for returning the space to the condition it was in prior to the event. The user may be charged for costs associated with damage, theft, or conditions requiring additional cleaning of the area.

6. Staffing and/or custodial may be required for any event. Recreational Sports will determine staffing and custodial needs for each event.

7. After hours charges: In addition to the rental and event operation fees, any group that schedules an event outside of a facility's regular operating hours must pay the personnel and utility costs incurred in keeping the facility open beyond its posted hours. Field reservations must be concluded by 11pm. Any event that exceeds the scheduled time may incur additional charges.

8. Inclement weather policy: The department of Recreational Sports does not guarantee alternate indoor facilities or make-up dates in the event of inclement weather.  However, we will make every effort to find an alternate date or facility for your group. The department of Recreational Sports reserves the right to determine the playability of the outdoor facilities. If the department of Recreational Sports cancels the event for any reason, refunds may be made up to 100%. If a portion of the activity has taken place, refunds will be based on a pro-rated percentage of usage.

9. Campus Departments and University Sponsored events must provide a university account to be used for event charges.
10. All users on a recurring reservation in the Pohl Rec Center must have a current membership.

Additional Fees

Additional fees may apply to a reservation based on university affiliation and the time, needs and nature of the event. Fees will be determined by Recreational Sports.

• Utility fees will apply to Non-University groups at the following rates:

• Utility fees will not apply to Student Organizations and Campus Departments during normal operating hours.
