Kids Learn To Swim

PRE-SCHOOL

For children 3-5 years old to help them feel comfortable in the water, and enjoy it safely.

DAYS/TIME:  MON/WED  5:30pm-6:00pm

LEVEL 1: INTRODUCTION TO WATER SKILLS

Helps children 6 and older who have little to no experience in and around the water. The objective of Level 1 is to give students success with fundamental skills and increase their comfort level around water in a safe environment. They will work on basic swimming skills and water adjustment as well as comfort.

DAYS/TIME:  MON/WED  5:30pm-6:00pm

LEVEL 2: FUNDAMENTAL AQUATIC SKILLS

The goal of Level 2 is to successfully build on the fundamental skills from Level 1. Participants will be working towards basic stroke competence.
--Pre-requisites: Children must be able to demonstrate the skills required to complete Level 1. They must be able to float independently with a basic kick.

DAYS/TIME:  MON/WED  6:10pm-6:40pm

LEVEL 3: STROKE DEVELOPMENT

Level 3 builds on the skills learned in Level 2 while expanding knowledge and safety.
--Pre-requisites: Children must be able to demonstrate the skills required to complete Level 2. They must be able to do a recognizable stroke with basic breathing technique.

DAYS/TIME:  MON/WED  6:50pm-7:30pm

$45 - Students, Members, and Non-members*

* Non-members must be UNT Faculty, Staff, or Retirees. Community may only register for the Lifeguarding Course and Lifeguarding and CPR Recertification Course. Classes may be combined or cancelled due to low enrollment.
