In-Line Hockey
The University of North Texas Inline Hockey Club is a sport club that participates in the Southwest Collegiate Hockey League (SCHL). The club fields’ two teams – one in Division 1 and one in the B Division – against other college teams such as University of Texas, Texas Tech University, and Sam Houston State University. In the past several years, UNT’s Inline hockey club teams have been a dominant force in the SCHL with the Division 1 team winning the SCHL Championship four times in the last five years. The “B-Team” has also been very competitive winning championships in 2008 and 2011. Both teams are starting to make a name for themselves on the national level with both teams attending the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association’s (NCRHA) National Championships for the past two years.
The club is open to all UNT students (undergraduate or graduate) who meet the Rec Sports Department's requirements. The club will accept any student as a member of the travel teams regardless of experience.
Practice Venue: Lone Star Indoor Sports Complex
Practice Times: Tuesday/Thursday 10pm-12am
