SUMMER 2015 AQUATIC PROGRAMS

LIFEGUARDING

This course is designed for strong swimmers who wish to be trained in American Red Cross Lifeguarding. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications.

DATES: May 22 – May 24 (Register by May 15)  

TIMES: Friday: 5:00p-10:00p; Saturday and Sunday: 9:00a-7:00p

                **Participants must attend all class times**

COST:   $220 Students and Members; $240 Non-Members and Community

 LIFEGUARD & CPR RECERTIFICATION

Only for current lifeguards. This class is to update CPR and Lifeguarding certifications. Participants have the sole responsibility to prepare for the class. Participants who successfully pass will American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications. **Minimum age is 15 years old**

DATES: May 17 (Register by May 11)  

TIMES: Sunday: 9:00a-7:00p

COST:   $110 Students and Members; $130 Non-Members and Community

ADULT BEGINNER SWIM LESSONS

Learn the basics of swimming from experienced swim instructors in a safe, fun environment. This class is for those with little to no experience with swimming.

DATES: June 8 – July 1 (Register by June 5)  

TIMES: Monday and Wednesday: 6:30p-7:30p

COST:  $45 Students and Members; $55 Non-Members and Community

ADULT SWIM INSTRUCTION

Builds on the basic skills of the Adult Beginner course for those who want to continue skill development and enhance water comfort level in a safe, fun environment.

DATES: July 6 – July 29 (Register by July 3)  

TIMES: Monday and Wednesday: 6:30p-7:30p

COST:   $45 Students and Members; $55 Non-Members and Community

CHILDREN’S LEARN-TO-SWIM

These classes are part of the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Program and are offered for three different levels of swimming abilities.

LEVEL 1 – INTRO TO WATER SKILLS

Helps children feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. For younger children 3-5 years old.

TIMES: Monday – Thursday: 5:30p-6:00p

COST:  $40 Students and Members; $50 Non-Members and Community

SESSION 1:  June 8-June 18 (Register by June 5)

SESSION 2:  June 22-July 2 (Register by June 19)

SESSION 3:  July 6-July 16 (Register by July 3)

SESSION 4:  July 20-July 30 (Register by July 17)

LEVEL 2 – FUNDAMENTAL AQUATIC SKILLS

Focuses on success with fundamental skills. **Pre-requisites: children must be able to demonstrate the skills required to complete Level 1 or be at least 5 years old**

TIMES: Monday – Thursday: 6:15p-6:45p

COST:   $40 Students and Members; $50 Non-Members and Community

SESSION 1:  June 8-June 18 (Register by June 5)

SESSION 2:  June 22-July 2 (Register by June 19)

SESSION 3:  July 6-July 16 (Register by July 3)

SESSION 4:  July 20-July 30 (Register by July 17)

LEVEL 3 – STROKE DEVELOPMENT

Builds on the skills learned in Level 2 by providing additional guided practice. **Pre-requisites: children must be able to demonstrate the skills required to complete Level 2**

TIMES: Monday – Thursday: 7:00p-7:40p

COST:   $45 Students and Members; $55 Non-Members and Community
